Collider is happy to bring you the first exclusive images from Magic Hour, the indie crime drama from writer/director Cole Mueller (Green Guys). The story follows a young man and his association with a Venice Beach crime family. Magic Hour is said to be in the vein of Francis Ford Coppola's The Outsiders and Rumble Fish, two films that feature teenage gang warfare and sport a cult following. Mueller's film stars C. Thomas Howell (The Amazing Spider-Man), himself an alumnus of Coppola's The Outsiders. Magic Hour also stars William Russ (Boy Meets World), Kris Lemche (Final Destination) and Will Wallace (The Tree of Life). Hit the jump to check out the first exclusive images. Mueller emphasized the feeling of nostalgia in Magic Hour, a period piece set in 1990. He mentions references to the original" Nintendo system, clap-on lights, VHS camcorders, New Kids on the Block, early 90's neon" just to name a few...
